After Seahawks defensive lineman Leonard Williams stunned the Jets by returning an interception for a 92-yard touchdown, he laid down on the ground and caught his breath. He had just made NFL history.
The Jets had a 21-7 lead in the second quarter when quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he “couldn’t see” Williams and gave him the ball for the longest pick-six by a defensive lineman in the history of the league. New York would not score again in the eventual 26-21 loss.
